In our last blog post we went behind the scenes at our Stag In The Woods Edit photo shoot and explained why we chose the location. If you missed it, you can read it here. We decided that a woodland setting would be perfect for our stag designs – being the natural habitat of the stag in the wild. The backdrop of vivid greens and autumnal browns, also meant that our silver finish products would really ‘pop’ against their surroundings.

Heading up the shoot was our Creative Director, James and Stylist, Becky. Between them, they decided that an al fresco dining table would be a fantastic way to showcase everything the collection has to offer – from table top accessories and barware – to hurricane lanterns and candle holders. We also mixed in pieces from our other collections to complement the rustic surroundings.

 

Dressing The Table

We chose a chunky wooden farmhouse style table for our shoot to complement the natural designs of the stag. Being in the woods, Becky our stylist selected accessories inspired by nature to dress the table. To create the perfect place setting she used pale green plates, each displayed on a wood slice. Each plate was then finished with a crisp, white napkin, a sprig of eucalyptus and our striking stainless steel cutlery pieces. We love how our Polished Knot cutlery sits beautifully on the plate and complements the whole look with its chunky knotted handle.

She also used a mossy table runner and strands of foliage and leaves to add texture and interest to the table, whilst blending it into the surroundings. Finally, our silver plated Wine Goblets were added to the mix – perfect for wine or water.

 

 

The Centrepiece

Loved by so many of our customers, our Stag Punch Bowls simply had to be included in the shoot. These statement punch bowls never fail to make an amazing table centrepiece and are perfect for dinner parties and get-togethers.

Truly versatile too, you can use them as intended for serving up punch or filled with ice to chill bottles of wine and champagne. Or, on a day-to-day basis, use as a fruit bowl, style with fresh or dried flowers, or simply pop on the side as an ornamental piece in its own right.

 

Light It Up

With the evenings drawing in, there’s nothing more relaxing than closing the curtains, lighting a candle and hunkering down for the night. Our collection of stag candle holders and hurricane lanterns are a marvellous way to bring candlelight into the home – as well as making a striking decorative addition to a room. Move them around from mantelpiece to dining table, to create different looks depending on the occasion.

 

Feeling Cheesy

We love a fully laden cheese board and with Christmas on the way – the time for cheese overload is almost upon us! If you’re putting together a cheese board for any occasion – be it for a dinner party or simply to enjoy in the evening, then choosing the right knives is essential so you can serve and savour all of your favourite fromage. Our Stag Head Cheese Knives come in three different blade designs, perfect for tackling all manner of cheeses, and are each adorned with a decorative stag head at the end of the handle.

 

A Cosy Touch

During the chillier months, there’s nothing more luxurious than sinking your toes into a thick, fluffy sheepskin rug. Perfect for adding texture and warmth to a tiled or wooden floor, our rugs can even be thrown over a chair or the end of the bed for added comfort. We used them in the shoot to add a wonderful tactile texture to the iron chairs we used.
